So, one of the newest crazes in the new Makeup World. The Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer. I bought one, to see if it was worth it. And I’m trying it here today for you. It took ages to find the right shade for me, it was so popular, I’m so happy I got one!
So, I bought it in shade C4, which should be my perfect match. Let’s see.
I’m going to try it on my hand to see what the consistency is like. Opening the bottle, it looks very thick, which is good. It does have a HUGE big applicator but it get’s the job done. I apply it under my thumb on the side of my hand and it looks darker than my skin, let’s blend. I first do it with my finger, then a beauty blender.
It blends nicely but dries quickly on you so blend quick. Let’s now try with a beauty blender.
It might be my beauty blender, but it isn’t blending well. I’ll try now with a damp beauty blender to see if it makes a difference.
It did make a difference, but it is a very dry concealer. Now let’s get to the fun part, face swatches.
I put it just on the base of my neck and blended with my finger and it seemed to work really well! Soft to the touch and very full coverage so far. Now I’ll do the freckle test. (To see just how good the coverage is)
Not full coverage on my freckles so I’ll try with the wet beauty blender.
The wet beauty blender definitely helps! Now for the best bit, under eyes.
Really nice, but the only thing that lets it down is the dryness, speaking of, I’m going to test if putting a primer on helps.
It didn’t really work. I’d say that moisturising beforehand will be the best way to get the most out of the concealer.
Consistency: Thick and creamy but dry
Applicator: Very Large
Coverage: Not perfect but pretty good.
Shade Range: Incredible!
Blending: Not great on dry but oily/extremely combination skin
Price: £4 @ Superdrug/incredible!
Feel: Soft, not sticky
I think that this concealer is perfect for the gal (or guy) with the perfect skin. My dry skin doesn’t really suit it.
However, just because I don’t really love it, it doesn’t mean you won’t! At £4 you can’t really go wrong! Tell me your thoughts on it in the comments!
Bye guys! Love you lots!
