As a teen, I experience the extremely inconvenient misfortune (that’s a bit of an exaggeration) of getting spots. To be honest, I have it easy compared to some. I know that some cases of acne can’t just be fixed with some Drugstore spot cream, but this is the best I can give you. I have found a range of products that are inexpensive and incredible. These are the products I use almost every day and especially around a time of the month when they come and raid my face. You know.
I am not a fan of the big brand, filled with rubbish products. I like the own brand things from Boots and the Simple range found in most supermarkets. My favourites include the tee-tree peel-off face mask from Boots, the face scrub from Boots, and the moisturiser and the face wash from Simple.
I also like ‘Calm Skin’ from Superdrug. It’s not too powerful, but it is good for redness after a spot has gone. I like the Blemish Gel, and I like using the Overnight face mask. It’s really nice.
Sometimes, I use a blemish toner from Clearasil. I put a little on a cotton pad and wipe it over my t-zone to help get rid of spots.
Although I am not a fan of the bigger brands, I really like the 3-1 Charcoal Face Wash and Mask. I got it a while ago but I use it sparingly, but it’s really good.
Back to Clearasil, there is a product I don’t like, it’s the face wash. It is really weird and jelly-like, but it is also really drying. I could’ve been doing something wrong, but when I used it, my face would feel really dry afterwards, and the skin would peel off my hands. Not anything dramatic, but just the top few layers that would peel when you would grip onto the monkey bars as a kid you know? I stopped using it, but it happened again a couple times after I tried it again.
Recently, I have got into the habit of using face masks around once or twice a week. I like sheet masks and peel-off for the ease but I also like normal ones but it’s a little bit off of a hassle to wash it off.
Hope you feel knowledgeable to defeat the raid of the spots next time they come. I’ll speak with you all soon.
Lots of Love, Marli Xxx
